The company Excellent Cork was created in 2005 as a result of its founding partners’ belief that a thermoplastic stopper manufactured by an injection process would provide a perfect and economical solution to problems which have long existed with natural or agglomerated cork and synthetic stoppers made through other processes.
In recent years the company has positioned itself as the main Spanish manufacturer of synthetic stoppers for wine and spirits, thanks to close relationships with our clients, developing the type of stopper with them which has fulfilled their demands.
We have a wide range of stoppers which offer our clients unbeatable sealing, maintaining the aromas, freshness and flavours of the wine as they were when it was bottled.
These personal relationships and the innovative drive of the company have allowed us to develop stoppers with different dimensions, being the first manufacturer to launch the patented DUO stopper on the market, with two diameters, offering excellent sealing and thus perfect preservation of wines and unbeatable resealing, a characteristic valued by hospitality professionals and end consumers. In addition to the DUO stopper, we have developed and patented two new types of stoppers, which demonstrates our vocation for innovation and interest in offering the market solutions to problems at all times.

The suitability of this material for being in contact with a high alcohol content and its advantages over cork led to great demand from manufacturers of stoppers for spirits at both a national and international level, and today allows the company to have an extensive catalogue of sizes and models.
PATENTED model which definitively resolves the problems of resealing. It is a stopper which combines a perfect seal, ensuring perfect preservation of the flavours and aromas of wines due to its high density, and unbeatable resealing due to shrinkage which does not require a guiding system for bottling. This model makes up 80% of wine stopper manufacturing of the company, and its success is based on the great reception by wineries, hospitality professionals and end consumers.
The scarcity and increased price of cork led to the market launch of this series which simulates cork with the advantages of synthetic stoppers, such as the non-existence of TCA and a great price-quality ratio. Stoppers intended for crianza wines.
